Kirill is a frequent guest soloist of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, now he returns to perform Mozart’s Piano Concerto No, 20 in D Minor with Alan Gilbert on three evenings, December 18. 19 and 20 at the Rudolfinum.
Kirill Gerstein will play Gershwin’s Piano Concerto on December 29 & 31 at the Semperoper Dresden, conducted by Karine Canellakis. The concert will be broadcasted on New Year’s Eve., the link will be posted here later.
Kirill is touring in the USA & Canada, playing a recital programm with works by Schumann, Ravel, Liszt and a new commissioned piece by Francisco Coll Garcia, „Two Waltzes Toward Civilization“.
It was commissioned by John Kongsgaard and Chamber Music in Napa Valley for Kirill Gerstein and will be premiered on December 2, 2024.
The European premiere will follow in March 2025.
Kirill Gerstein’s next performance of one of the most demanding pieces of the piano repertoire will be in Paris with conductor Sakari Oramo and the Orchestre National de France and the Choir of Radio France. The concert will be broadcasted by Radio France Musique.
